There was chaos at the Kolkata airport on Tuesday after hearing the news of the bomb in the plane of Qatar Airways. However, it later turned out to be just a rumour, after which passengers and airport officials heaved a sigh of relief.
According to the information, at around 3.29 am on Tuesday, a passenger plane QR 541 from Kolkata was scheduled to go to Doha, from where it had to go to London. During this time, as soon as a passenger boarded the plane, he started shouting that there is a bomb in the plane.
After this there was an atmosphere of fear. All other passengers on the plane panicked. Immediately after this, the CISF was informed by the relevant authorities of the aircraft and told that the suspect passenger along with the rest of the passengers has been taken down from the aircraft.
When the CISF asked this person how he got the news of the bomb in the plane, he said that someone had told him this. Later when the passenger's father was called, he told that his son has mental illness.
